Dog Friendly Caravan and Lodge Holidays in Cornwall
Don“t leave your four legged friend behind! Take all of the family to our dog friendly holiday park in Cornwall and stay in one of our pet friendly static caravans or lodges at River Valley Country Park. We welcome pet owners with amicable and well behaved pets.
Although your dog will need to be kept on a lead whilst on the park itself, we do have a dedicated dog walking field and there are a wide choice of local walks where you can exercise your dog. Several local attraction and pubs also welcome dogs which means your dog can join you whenever you want to enjoy a family day out.
Pet Rules
We go to great lengths to ensure that everyone who stays with us enjoys a clean, fresh environment, and we always clean our accommodation and public areas more thoroughly after pets have visited. There are obvious challenges to this, and we ask that pet owners help us to maintain our high standards for the next guest by following our guidelines:

You may only have 2 dogs (other than any of the breeds subject to the Dangerous Dog Act 1991).

Pets are not permitted in the following areas of the park:

We understand dogs bark, particularly in the presence of other dogs. We would prefer dogs who are particularly agitated or excitable to be taken outside to burn off some energy, so that other customers are not unduly disturbed (we will trust your judgement as dog owners on this). There is no total ban on barking but we'd like to keep it from ruining the relaxed atmosphere in the park.

We request that pet owners bring pet bedding to protect our bedroom carpets and soft furnishings. Please do not allow pets to sleep on the beds.

All the usual rules around dogs in the countryside apply - please observe the countryside code, keep dogs on a lead around livestock, and please ensure waste is removed from public areas and disposed of safely. There are a number of waste bins around the park.

All pets must be supervised by and under the control of you, or of a responsible adult in your party, at all times. This means you may not leave any pet or animal unsupervised in the caravan or anywhere on the park at any time. Nor may you leave any pet or animal under the supervision of any person aged under 18. These rules apply even if the pet or animal knows the park well and you believe them to be well-behaved.

If you do not supervise and control any pet or animal, we are likely to ask you to remove it from the park straight away. This is because we cannot allow the safety of others to be put at risk.

If you see another pet or animal anywhere on the park which does not appear to be supervised by and under the control of a responsible adult, or whose behaviour gives a cause for concern, please tell us straight away.

You must not exercise dogs on the park, we have a separate dog walking field for this purpose.

You must keep any dog on a short lead at all times on the park.
Nothing in these Pet Rules prevents you or any member of your party from bringing an assistance dog to the park, or from using the dog exactly as at home, if this is required to support a disability and Assistance Dogs UK or any successor body has issued an Identification Book or other appropriate evidence.
There is a small surcharge of just £40 per pet per week, and these funds go towards the additional work and materials needed to ensure other visitors (even those with pets of their own) are not affected by the presence of pets at River Valley Country Park. We will keep this surcharge low for as long as possible.

Rose Cottage is a delightful cottage bursting with traditional features and is perfect for those looking to spend quality time together. This superb cottage is situated in beautiful landscaped gardens and has been sympathetically renovated to provide first class holiday home accommodation. This spacious holiday home has been finished to a high specification and tastefully decorated throughout.
The kitchen/dining area provides a great social space and is well equipped so you can enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends. From the kitchen you can retreat to the lounge where you can relax in front of the log burner and put your feet up, watch a film on the large Smart TV complete with Netflix or listen to some music on the Sonos speaker. The snug is located just off of the kitchen and is a great space for the kids with comfy sofa's, Smart TV, Playstation, games and books.
Next to the kitchen you'll find the utility room, complete with washing machine & tumble drier. This is also a great place for the dogs to dry off after a long walk in the surrounding countryside. The hallway next to the utility provides plenty of space for storing coats and shoes. There is also a separate WC.
There are four charming bedrooms in this cottage and all are located on the first floor. The Master bedroom boasts a king size bed and ensuite shower room. The second bedroom offers a double bed and there are also two twin bedrooms. The family bathroom is a real delight, here you'll find a corner shower and a freestanding roll-top bath, perfect for a soak after a busy day exploring.
Moving outside and the facilities here are top notch. Situated in a prime position to the rear of the cottage and overlooking the valley, is a generous timber gazebo which houses a large hot tub, Smart TV, outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ and small fridge and comfortable seating area. On the other side of the gardens there is a large sunken firepit and additional dining table and chairs.
The extensive gardens offer a mixture of lawn, mature trees, shrubs and plants. The grounds are totally enclosed, dog proof and are extremely private. The private driveway can accommodate up to four cars and there is a universal EV charging point available at no charge.

Our fantastic Riverside Retreat holiday house is perfect for larger families and groups of friends. This beautifully decorated holiday home can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people in 6 bedrooms.
The Living room is large and boasts a wood burner, 65” Smart TV with Sky and Netflix and a fantastic Bose wireless speaker.
The kitchen/dining room is stylish and benefits from a host of appliances. The dining area has a large dining table that seats 12 people and a 40” Smart TV and wireless Bluetooth speaker.
Relax in the Snug and lose yourself in one of the many books or visit the Games Room which provides the perfect den for both kids and adults with an X box, large 65” Smart TV with Netflix, wireless Bluetooth speaker, full size pool table and a selection of retro board games.
All of the bedrooms have been individually designed and decorated, TV's are provided in all bedrooms, DVD players are available if required and there is also a dressing table, hairdryer and radio/alarm clock in each bedroom.
The main bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath with overhead shower, bedrooms 1, 2 & 3 have ensuite shower rooms and there is also a separate WC.
Moving outside and the gardens are superb having been specifically designed so that guests can enjoy using it all year round with an indoor BBQ lodge, undercover BBQ kitchen, sunken fire pit and play area.
The highlight of this garden has to be the purpose built timber hot tub gazebo. Soak away your troubles with a glass of something special in the hot tub or watch a spot of TV from the comfort of the corner sofa- the choice is yours!

Our Cedar Lodge Plus Pet Friendly accommodation is a fabulous addition to our accommodation range. These exceptional holiday lodges boast an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner with TV, DVD player and Bluetooth sound system. French doors provide plenty of natural light and lead to your own private terrace and hot tub where you can make the most of outdoor living.
The well equipped kitchen/diner is modern and has a large cooker, microwave, dishwasher and a wine cooler. The dining area comfortably seats 4 people around the dining table and there is also a breakfast bar with two stools.
The Master bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of storage space for all your belongings, it also comes complete with an en suite washroom with bath and shower over.
The twin bedroom is comfortable and across the hallway there is a separate shower room.

Our Oak Lodge Pet Friendly accommodation is a firm favourite with larger families who want to bring their dogs with them on holiday. These lodges offer open plan living which make it perfect for all of the family to spend time together.
The kitchen has built in appliances and an ample supply of utensils and cutlery.
From the lounge area, patio doors lead to your own private terrace where you can make the most of the Cornish weather.
There are three bedrooms in the Oak Lodge Pet Friendly, the Master bedroom and a twin room. There is also a bathroom with bath and shower.

Our Maple kitchen has a range of built in appliances which include a dishwasher and microwave. The dining area is situated just off of the kitchen.
There are two bedrooms in the Maple Lodge (one double and one twin). The Master bedroom comes with its own ensuite shower room and the main bathroom comprises a bath with shower.
